Things will not remain bleak forever in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B. Things are set to change when the zombie series returns this Sunday.

Executive producer Scott Gimple has teased about a "joyful rebellion" in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B, TV Line reported. He said that the first half of the season was about these characters and the audience getting past a heartbreaking and horrific trauma. It was about them finding a way to go forward and by the end of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 Episode 8, everyone saw a happy and hopeful Rick and company. He further said that there is something in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B that is kind of like joyful rebellion.

According to Gimple, "The Walking Dead" Season 7B will see Rick and his team finally being able to do something and stand up for the right thing, Spoilers Guide reported. In the initial part, it was like they had been asleep or just caught in stasis or anger or despondency. However, that is not happening for them right now. Notably, Episode 8 of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 saw Rick finally realizing the need to revolt and with Daryl rising from his stupor, one does agree with Gimple.

What is more, Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on "The Walking Dead," has teased similar sentiments. She said that the show will be really riveting when "The Walking Dead" Season 7B returns in February. The actress revealed in an interview that the drama and threats will only increase in Alexandria in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B. She also admitted that the group is ready to fight but they will not use the same tactics viewers have seen in the past.

According to her, Rick will be a lot smarter when dealing with Negan but he will not have everyone by his side. Interestingly, Lennie James, who plays Morgan on "The Walking Dead" has also talked about the group not being unanimous and picking sides. He said that the group is preparing for war and not everyone will be fighting with Rick in "The Walking Dead" Season 7B. "The Walking Dead" Season 7B returns to AMC on Feb. 12.
