Following the story of professional skaters, the anime series is written in a way that it incorporates real life stories and experience that makes the viewers relate to the plot.

Recently, "Yuri On Ice" fans gathered in one big event to join a marathon and special talk show for the anime series. The event was held in Japan on Feb. 11 and the attendees enjoyed a "Yuri On Ice" marathon featuring all the episodes of Season 1.

According to Crunchy Roll, it was truly an exciting event as fans got the chance to meet and spend time with fellow "Yuri On Ice" fans. To make the event more special, special guests also attended the event including the series creator, Mitsurou Kubo. Voice actors for the anime characters were also present including Toshiyuki Toyonaga, Junichi Suwabe and Kouki Uchiyama who gives life to the characters of Yuri Katsuki, Victor Nikiforov and Yuri Plisetsky repsectively.

After the fruitful event, the show's creative team once again caught the attention of the fans as an epic selfie of the "Yuri On Ice" characters surfaced online. According to Counsel & Heal, the "Yuri On Ice" characters posed for a "groufie" or a group selfie shot using a monopod, popularly known as a selfie stick.

While there is still no "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 release date, the hype for the anime series is evidently strong. Hopefully, this will make the creative team for "Yuri On Ice" motivated to push through with a sequel soon.

Fans of "Yuri On Ice" are confident that there will be a "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 to give the protagonist of the series, Yuri, another chance to win the gold medal. An even more interesting point for "Yuri On Ice" Season 2 is the possible flourishing of the romantic chemistry between Yuri and Victor.
