AMD has been making big news recently with the release of Ryzen CPU. Not only has AMD shown that their Ryzen CPU beats the Intel i7 in processing power, but also AMD has priced Ryzen very competitively, making Intel fear for its long-term success. This has led Intel to cut prices on their best processors.

AMD Ryzen rumors are now suggesting that many laptop brands are turning towards AMD since they are providing a better performance-per-dollar at a lower TDP, which is a crucial measure to increase laptop processing power without decreasing its battery power.

Apple is one such brand that is considering the AMD environment in their newest MacBook Pro. AMD is a candidate to make an APU for Apple MacBook Pro 2017, should Intel fail to deliver on their APUs. AMD Ryzen rumors suggest that the company is willing to exploit such a thing and provide Apple with custom Zen SoC that would have a mix of Ryzen along with Vega architecture for graphics.

AMD Ryzen rumors suggest that if Apple adopts the Raven Ridge architecture for their new MacBook Pro, it would make the MacBook thinner and lighter. If Apple takes the first step, other laptop manufacturers would closely follow their footsteps.

Recent Ryzen news also shed some light on the market potential of Raven Ridge, which when released, would eat into Intel and NVIDIA's stronghold. Raven Ridge promises to deliver punchy graphical performance without the compromises of an Intel and NVIDIA integrated chip.

Raven Ridge was scheduled to be released in 2018, but recent market developments have changed the rules of marketing and AMD has decided to speed up the launch of Raven Ridge by 2017 itself. When released, Raven Ridge would have DDR4 memory support, 4 cores, a 14-nm architecture and Vega GPU built-in.
