Following the recent finale of The CW's supernatural fantasy drama, "The Vampire Diaries", the network's other fantasy horror drama, which was created as a spin-off for TVD, "The Originals" season 4 will be making its return and will premiere less than two days from now. The series is set to air the episodes from its brand new season and fans are more than excited for this.

It has been almost a year since the series have aired on televisions. The previous finale episode featured a rather cliffhanging ending which made the fans anticipate more on the upcoming "The Originals" season 4. Reports have said that more intense events are going to be witnessed, which will definitely put viewers on the edges of their seats.

TV Guide reported that the premiere episode of "The Originals" season 4 will pick up five years later from the scene where Joseph Morgan's character, Klaus Mikaelson was defeated. Marcel Gerard, portrayed by Charles Michael Davis, will now be reigning the city of New Orleans. However, he finds out that the group of un-sired vampires he welcomed to the city were posing a threat that can bring him down his reign.

Another anticipated scenario for the upcoming premiere of "The Originals" season 4 includes the possible reunion of Klaus and "The Vampire Diaries" character, Caroline, portrayed by Candice King. Before the original series ended, fans were offered a scenario that can possibly unite the two characters when it was showed that Klaus made a donation to Caroline's school. Later on, a note was shown saying Klaus wanted to personally meet her and thank her in person.

Meanwhile, according to TV Line, an emotional first-minute video clip for the upcoming premiere of "The Originals" season 4 has recently been released. As per the source, the fourth season will include Yusuf Gatewood's character, Vincent Griffith, and the consequences him and the other characters will have to endure for what they have done in the previous episodes.

"The Originals" season 4 premieres on March 17, 2017.
