Production for "Stranger Things" Season 2 is coming to a close. Show's cinematographer, Tim Ives, officially confirms the final two episodes of the series is set to begin filming on Friday.

Ives made the announcement on his Instagram account on Thursday. "My on set chair back against familiar woods," he wrote in the post. "We start filming the final two episodes of Season 2 tomorrow. Super stoked and melancholy at the same time."

The woods that Ives were referring to on his post - as well as on the embedded photo - is the same location that was featured in "Stranger Things" Season 1 finale. According to Screenrant, it is where Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) leaves Eggo waffles inside a box in the middle of the woods for Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), hoping that she is still alive and free.

The first season of "Stranger Things" did not reveal any significant backstory about Eleven - aside from the fact that she has gone through several experiments for her psychic abilities. However, Season 2 will finally answer some of the fans' questions about the character.

Show co-creator Matt Duffer, on his interview with Entertainment Weekly in February, had confirmed that fans will learn more of Eleven's backstory in "Stranger Things" Season 2. "We learn about where she came from and how she came into the world and the program that resulted in her," he said.

Brown, on the other hand, has called this moment for Eleven in "Stranger Things" Season 2 an "emotional transition." She also went on to express that the current season of the show has given her the opportunity to expand her character.

The online streaming platform, Netflix, has yet to release any official word on "Stranger Things" Season 2 premiere date. But many reports believe it could get released sometime in Halloween 2017. More updates about the matter should surface soon.
