Sister, Sister is getting a reboot!

The return of the series comes after other popular shows from the 90s and early 2000s, like Fuller House and Gilmore Girls, that were resurrected within the last couple of years.

Now, Sister, Sister is the latest to make a highly anticipated comeback.

“We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” Mowry told Nylon magazine Wednesday. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be. Everything in my career has always been a challenge.”

Still, despite the unexpected obstacles, the sisters aren’t giving up on the return that fans have been asking for for years.

“We’re moving forward,” she added. “We’re taking those strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.”

It hasn’t been released who else is returning to the series. The show included other stars like Jackèe Harry as Lisa Landry, Marques Houston as Roger Evans and Tim Reid as Tim Campbell.

The show debuted in April 1994 and ran all the way through the 1999 television series.

Fans grew up with the sisters who discovered they had a twin in a shopping store in the pilot episode. The two, along with their adoptive parents, Lisa and Tim, moved in together as the sisters went through major life changes from turning 16 to graduating from high school and attending the University of Michigan together.

Of course, boys and relationships were a big part of it too.

The show ended when Tamera went on an adventure with their birth father and Tia took her dream job. It certainly will be interesting to see what the sisters have been up to since then.
