After months of endless excitement, the hype surrounding the birth of George and Amal Clooney's twin children has finally crossed the finish line. Announced earlier today, the two celebrities are now the parents to Ella and Alexander Clooney.

"This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives. Ella, Alexander and Amal are all healthy, happy and doing fine," their spokesperson Stan Rosenfield announced. George is sedated and should recover in a few days."

Speculation had been running rampant across online forums regarding when the children will be arriving. George and Amal have become quite the hot topic, lately, as the anticipation grew. George, who in the past was known for being against becoming a father, has had his views soften at the idea of becoming a father.

"He's gone from never wanting to be a father to being totally excited about the pregnancy and the thought of raising two children who will call him Dad," a source revealed to Closer Weekly. "He's been doting on Amal's every need and talking to her belly. He's also having a blast coming up with baby names."

To ensure that George was home for the moment, Amal has famously put him on a travel ban. Thus far he already had to miss one Aurora Prize for Awakening Humanity ceremony, which took place in Armenia.

George is said to be in shock from the entire ordeal and is currently sedated, but is expected to recover in the next few days.

Congratulations to the new parents!
