Fans got a sneak peek at the old Evelyn Lozada when she lunged toward Jackie Christie in a preview of the midseason finale for Basketball Wives on VH1. The real reason of what happened has finally been revealed.

In the teaser for the highly anticipated episode, Lozada tried to attack Christie after she called her a "non-factor."

Viewers recall Lozada started that phrase when she called Tami Roman a "non-factor" in the second season of the Miami installment of the show.

Lozada was saying that Roman didn't matter when she slept with Roman's, then, husband back in the day because Roman had filed for divorce.

It appeared that when Christie used Lozada's phrase on her pinched a nerve, but reports say it is much deeper than that.

It was reported earlier this week that Lozada lost her cool after Christie said something disrespectful about Lozada's daughter, Shaniece.

It's not clear what the remark was, but Lozada seemed to confirm the news on Twitter.

"I will protect my kids until the end!" she said after the promo for the episode was released. "You will see why and I can bet my life on it that you would have done the same #WaitOnIt"

Interestingly enough, Lozada and Christie have been battling all season about Christie's child, Ta'Kari.

Her daughter was severely burned in a fire and Lozada donated to Ta'Kari's online account to raise funds to help pay for medical bills and other expenses.

Christie made it clear she wasn't a fan of Lozada getting so close to her daughter, especially since Ta'Kari revealed that she and Christie have been at odds more often than not.
