This 2017 has shaped up to be an amazing year for Serena Williams, and the goodness just keeps on rolling as major athletic brand Nike named an entire building after the tennis star. She took to Instagram to react to the news Thursday, Dec. 7.

Serena Williams Receives A Major Honor

She reminded fans how good the year has been to her. She first pointed out that she took home the coveted Grand Slam earlier this year when she was pregnant with her first child. She then showed love to her “magical wedding” to Alexis Ohanian, the cofounder of popular digital site Reddit.

She questioned what could possibly happen next before she answered: “How about a building!!”

She confirmed the athletic company announced the decision to name a building after her Wednesday, Dec. 6. The new building will serve as one of the company’s latest world headquarters. It’s slated to be the largest on the property and will open its doors in 2019.

“I am honored and grateful!” wrote Williams.

Nike has also named a building on the same campus after Sebastian Coe. The track star is known for winning the Olympic god medal twice. Mike Krzyewski, also known as Duke University’s beloved basketball Coach K, will also get a building of its own on the property. His is set to be the fitness center after he took home the national championship five times during the span of his career.

Tennis Star Isn't Slowing Down

It’s safe to say Williams hasn’t slowed down since giving birth and tying the knot. She made her first public appearance on the tennis court since the arrival of the baby girl, who is now three months, and marrying Ohanian in a star-studded ceremony that featured celebrities such as Beyoncé, Ciara, and La La Anthony.

She and her sister, fellow tennis sensation Venus Williams threw “A Family Affair, Presented by Oath” event at the Southeast Tennis and Learning Center. They aimed for funds raised at the Washington DC event to benefit to Compton’s Yetunde Price Resource Center. The facility is fairly new and is in recognition of their oldest sister, Yetunde Price, who died in a drive-by shooting back in 2003. Jemele Hill was a part of the event, and Ohanian supported his wife as he attended the event and sent her a special message on social media.

The two tied the knot on Nov. 16 in New Orleans. Be sure to keep up with Enstarz for the latest news on your favorite celebrities.
