Joel McHale is returning to the talk show world this month. The former E! Network television personality will bring his unique insight to Netflix.

The Very First Guest

Deadline has confirmed that Actor-comedian Kevin Hart has been booked as the very first guest to be on The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale.  The Jumanji actor and stand-up comedian is expected to join an excellent group of guests that includes Community alums Alison Brie and Jim Rash.

Other guests who have been confirmed include Mad About You and Stranger Things actor Paul Reiser, Luke Cage's Mike Colter, and Fuller House's Jodie Sweetin.

Let The Green Screen Games Begin!

Green screens are expected to play a significant role on The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, Netflix revealed The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale's official trailer on YouTube. The trailer featured the actor-comedian as a massive human green screen.

The viewers could see clips of public figures such as U.S. President Donald Trump and former Democrat Party presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. If viewers looked close enough, they could find singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and the cartoon character BoJack Horseman.

The half-hour show is expected to highlight both the best and the awkward moments in pop culture, politics, and pet videos.

The Soup's Second Coming?

After looking at the trailer and reading additional information about the show, viewers could expect that series might be McHale's second attempt of resurrecting the show that first catapulted him into the public eye: E! Network's favorite clip show The Soup.

McHale served as the show's master of ceremonies for the now-canceled E! show from 2004 to 2015. The Soup focused on talk show blunders, television bloopers, and even poked fun at the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

Standing Up For Aziz

As he was promoting The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale, he also stood up for actor-comedian Aziz Ansari when the Parks and Recreation alum was targeted with sexual misconduct allegations.

"The problem is that people will read just the name and then just the accusation and they don't find out anything more than that. So that's the problem, but it sounds like it was consensual," McHale said to the New York Daily News.

McHale also added that he supported the #MeToo movement and its impact on the national conversation. However, the Community alum stated that Ansari's accuser should have put the incident in the nonsexual harassment category.

"The #MeToo movement is tremendous, and it is awesome and needs to happen and continue forever, but if someone had a bad date, then it is a bad date," said McHale.

The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale premieres on Netflix on Feb. 18.
