Elton John is booked for another royal wedding appearance following reports that the singer has canceled two concerts in favor of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding.

Concert Cancellation

John was supposed to perform in two Las Vegas gigs at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace on May 18 and 19. However, there is no listing for the said dates on Caesars Palace's website. Instead, the site only listed performances until May 17.

This led to speculations that the 70-year-old has silently canceled his shows to witness Prince Harry marry the Suits actress. The royal wedding will take place on May 19. Prince Harry and Markle will wed at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle.

John's camp has yet to provide details about the cancellation, although it would not be a surprise to see the singer at the royal wedding. He initially expressed his interest to be at the nuptials in previous interviews. He said at that he was just waiting for the formal invitation and mentioned his Las Vegas gigs

"I'm playing in Vegas, so I don't know what's going to happen. It will be nice because I love him very dearly," John said.

Royal Weddings

The musician would not pass the opportunity to be at the royal wedding given his relationship with the British royal family. He was a close friend of Prince Harry and Prince William's mother, the late Princess Diana. He composed and sang "Candle in the Wind" during her funeral in 1997.

Likewise, the "Tiny Dancer" singer was among the celebrities who witnessed Prince William marry his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton in April 2011. John and his husband David Furnish attended the royal wedding held at Westminster Abbey, where he also sang for the deceased Princess of Wales.

Special Relationship

Seeing Prince Harry marry Markle would also be an emotional moment for John since he knows how much the prince loves her. The singer recalled a conversation he had with the 33-year old at Google camp in Sicily, where Prince Harry talked about his fiancée. John shared that he noticed the prince was totally in love.

"He didn't really discuss much personally but he said 'I'm in love' and I thought 'good for you.' Both of those boys seem to be ecstatically happy and that's all you want people to be," John said in an interview on ITV's Lorraine.

He also spoke of his special relationship with Princess Diana's sons and praised Prince Harry.

"Both of those boys are very special to me because of their mother. He's [Prince Harry] a good boy, his heart's in the right place and all you want is for people to be happy," John added.
