Leaked photos from the Croatia set of Game of Thrones may have given away a major spoiler about Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister's fate in Season 8. The images hint at a confrontation happening between the two rulers.

Croatia Photos

A few images still made the rounds online despite the secrecy and high-security surrounding the making of the final installment of the HBO series. The photos are particularly interesting because they feature Kit Harington and Lena Headey, who plays Jon Snow and Cersei Lannister in Game of Thrones.

The photos are taken in locations around Dubrovnik, the set for Kings Landing. It is there where the stars, in their Game of Thrones character, were spied meeting each other. Harington is seen with his face turned away from the camera, although there is no mistaking the signature furry robe and curly hair belongs to the new King of the North. Headey is standing beside the British actor and they seem engrossed in what showrunner D.B. Weiss is saying.

In another photo, the Gunpowder star is seen leaving one of the sets. There is also another shot of Headey in character in the same spot where she shared a scene with Harington. Another image shows the actor scowling, looking rather frustrated.

Plot Theory

It is anyone's guess what is going on in these photos. However, fans speculate that a confrontation between Jon and Cersei takes place in Game of Thrones Season 8. The last time they met each other in Kings Landing was in Season 7. At the time, Jon tried to convince the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms to help them win the fight against the Night King and his army of White Walkers. They met at Dragons Pit, where Daenerys Targaryen finally met Cersei for the first time and Tyrion reunited with his sister. It was also at that meeting that the Lannister camp saw a White Walker for the first time.

So what could be Jon Snow and Cersei's meeting or confrontation about this time? Could it be another talk of the coming of the Night King? Perhaps Jon learned that Cersei lied about her promise to send the Lannister army to the North to battle the White Walkers. This would explain the frustrated look in Harington's face in one of the photos.

Another theory is that Jon is teaming up with Cersei against Daenerys. The Mother of Dragons made it clear that she has no interest in sharing the Iron Throne, even if it is with her nephew Jon, who is the rightful heir.

Whatever the reason that brings Jon and Cersei together, it is clear that a confrontation happens between the pair in Game of Thrones Season 8.
