A Get Christie Love reboot is in the works with Lionsgate Television and Universal Television co-producing the show and ABC network taking lead over the pilot premiere.

Characters

Series creator Courtney Kemp (Power) is set to write the screenplay for the pilot with Stephen Williams as director. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star Vin Diesel will executive produce the show alongside Shana C. Waterman and Debra Martin Chase.

Khandi Alexander, from Scandal and Treme, is set to star in the ABC pilot opposite Kylie Bunbury of Under the Dome and Game Night. Alexander plays the character named Sarah and Bunbury as Christie Love.

The Get Christie Love reboot is an action-packed and music-driven drama that centers on Bunbury's character as she leads an elite ops unit. Christie Love, an African-American CIA, is an ace at her job. She can transform into whomever she needs to be to get the job done, especially when it is down to the wire and the stakes are life and death.

Meanwhile, Alexander's Sarah is a veteran intelligence agent and head of Christie Love's elite ops unit. She and Love make a good team. Sarah possesses skills that are beneficial to her job. She can be a badass when the need arises.

ABC's Get Christie Love reboot is sure to entice fans of mystery, action, and drama. Not only will the series feature high-adrenaline missions in its episodes, the show will also delve into Christie's past relationship, especially the mystery surrounding her first love. Exploring the truth about this relationship will be the biggest and toughest mission of the CIA's life.

Other Cast

Aside from Alexander and Bunbury, other cast in the reboot include Julia Kelly (Forever Into Space, Pink Moon), Thomas Cocquerel (Kidnapping Mr. Heineken, Table 19), and Camille Guaty (Happyland, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past) who will all appear in the pilot.

Alexander is also known for her role in CSI: Miami. However, her recurring role in Scandal earned her an Emmy nomination. She plays Maya, the ruthless mother of Olivia. Alexander stars in HBO's TV movie Fahrenheit 451 opposite Michael Shannon (The Shape of Water) and Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther) ahead of her appearance in the pilot episode of Get Christie Love reboot.

Get Christie Love was initially a TV movie that premiered on ABC in January 1974 with African-American actress Teresa Graves taking the lead role. It subsequently became a one-hour TV series that ran on the network from September 1974 to April 1975.
