Known for their long and flowing beards, the male cast members of A&E's Duck Dynasty are notorious for their facial hair. However, the fourth installment will feature something that's indeed a rarity, a beardless face.

Alan Robertson, who's as clean-shaven as they come, will be taking on a meaty role on the popular reality show alongside his father and brothers. The 47-year-old is the oldest of Phil and Kay's four sons.

"The beards are so iconic. All this time I've been flying under the radar; I can go to Starbucks and get Mama coffee," he told the New York Post.

Robertson was a full-time preacher at a church in Louisiana. He made the decision to join the program in order to reach a wider audience with his message, according to Yahoo! TV.

"Because of my association with the show, I'll get minister to a lot more people," he explained.

Duck Dynasty revolves around a Louisiana family of millionaires that made their fortune from a company they created called Duck Commander, which makes a slew of products for duck hunters. All the males on the show are well known for their long beards.

The reality show is slated to return for Season 4 on August 14. Be sure to keep checking back for more details on the popular program. Comedic footage from the likes of Phil can be viewed below.
