Kenya Moore revealed in a recent interview why she was noticeably absent from NeNe Leakes' June wedding.

CocoFab asked Moore at the BET Awards on Sunday why she did not attend Leakes' lavish $1.8 million nuptials held on June 22 in Atlanta. The season 5 breakout star on The Real Housewives of Atlanta replied that she was working in Africa at the time.

"I hosted some shows and I have some other business dealings there as well," Moore explained of her trip.

The website also asked Moore to provide an update on the eviction on her Atlanta home. According to the former Miss USA pageant, the reports of the June ruling by the Fulton County judge made in Georgia are "all lies."

"For the record, I have not been evicted. People like to spread lies," Moore said. "It's part of who I am now.  It was never a part of who I was before the show."

The landlord's original eviction papers obtained by Radar Online showed that Moore fell short on her rent payment for the month of May. She was renting a six-bedroom, six-bathroom mansion and was unable to pay $848 on her monthly rent of $3,999 for the mansion in Roswell, Ga. The landlord was seeking the outstanding amount, rent for the month of June and $2,500 for eviction fees and damages.

Moore said the publicity surrounding her eviction was caused by her landlord, who she called a "hater" that is seeking fame.

"With the show come a lot of people who will try to be evil and vindictive and lie to have their fifteen minutes or to jump on your coattails because you're doing so well," she said.

Moore added she is confident she will be successful in her next court hearing, set for sometime in August.

A hearing was scheduled when the reality star filed a counterclaim the day after a judge ruled in the landlord's favor to have Moore evicted. The reality star's landlord, Conya Dillon, won her court battle on June 18 for non-payment of rent on an Atlanta mansion. Moore and her attorney did not attend the June 18 hearing and filed a motion to delay the eviction the day after, on June 19. They said they did not receive a notice of the court date.

Dillon filed new documents requesting another hearing after Moore filed her counterclaim on June 19. Dillon filed a new motion on June 21, seeking to expedite the eviction proceedings. She wrote in her claim that Moore has a history of "delinquencies and defaults."
