Big Sean visited New York's Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club on Tuesday to promote his upcoming album Hall of Fame, and dished about Kanye West's input.

"He's involved with Hall of Fame, but Kanye isn't always right all the time," he said. "I take his advice with considerations. One of the lessons I learned was to always follow my heart."

He revealed that there are certain times that he and his G.O.O.D. Music boss have different opinions. This includes which songs Big Sean should release as singles.

"I always loved Switch Up, I always loved Beware," he said. "Guap was one of the songs that he thought, 'Yo, come with this,' I'm like, 'I don't know about coming with this first."

The 25-year-old, however, did praise West and his music.

"You could take a Kanye West album away and there are not other rappers that sound like that," he said. "So first and foremost, you got to just respect that. You've got to respect someone pushing the envelope and being a rap legend."

Still, when asked about West's Yeezus, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard when it was released in June, Sean admitted he's not the biggest fan.

"It ain't my favorite Kanye West album but I do think it's fresh," he said.

Sean's favorite albums of West's include his sophomore record Late Registration, released in 2005 and 2007's Graduation.

His own album Hall of Fame hits stores on August 27. The emcee recently released the song Beware which features Lil' Wayne and Jhene Aiko, and will appear on the sophomore album.

"But last night I feel like probably ended all that, cause by now she would've sent a text in all caps, then another one tying to take it all back," are some of Sean's lyrics. "I don't even have you, how am I supposed to get past you?" Listen to the song here.
