Sarah Palin will co-host NBC's 'Today' show on Tuesday, a move which puts her in a morning show faceoff against one-time media nemesis Katie Couric, who is guest-hosting on ABC's "Good Morning America" this week.

The former Alaska governor and Republican vice presidential candidate is scheduled to be interviewed on "Today" at 7.a.m and co-host the show at 8 a.m.

"She'll reveal a different side of her than you've seen before," the Today show promised on its website.

The announcement came as ABC announced said last week news anchor Katie Couric - who had an infamous interview with Palin in 2008 - will host GMA this week to fill in for Robin Roberts.

NBC and ABC are also in a fierce morning show ratings battle. According to Nielsen, the 'Today' show tops GMA but the latter has been threatening to lead the ratings.

GMA is about 137,000 viewers behind the 'Today,' the New York Daily News reports.
