BBC One's Sherlock has its fans eagerly awating its return for its third installment, as its star Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) recently revealed that he's seen the finale script.

According to The Sun, the actor stated that getting the script in his hands was much like receiving another "birthday present," and also commended showrunner Steven Moffat in the process.

"I just got the script and it's another early birthday present, because it is amazing. I don't want to hype it too much because we haven't made it yet but what a script! Steven Moffat is brilliant. We shoot in about a week and a half's time," he said.

The actor also said that the cast and crew will be starting to shoot the current season again in a little over a week.

"We're on Sherlock for four weeks into early September. So it's a good time. It's a very, very exciting time to be me. I'm really lucky," Cumberbatch added.

Oddly enough, the 37-year-old said that he still hasn't informed a good friend or his parents on his Emmy nomination for the popular series.

"My friend doesn't even know this. I've been so busy trying to get luggage from one airport to another, I haven't even gotten around to telling my mum and dad, who are over the moon," he said.
