Was it possible that Brian Laundrie dug a grave for Gabby Petito and unintentionally aired it on Instagram live?

A new documentary about the 22-year-old YouTuber debunked rumors that her fiancé was caught on camera digging a grave and streaming it online.

Gabby's remains were discovered at a Wyoming state park and were identified in late September, bringing the riddles to a wider audience.

In the missing person case that fascinated people not just in the United States but across the world, internet detectives went through several footages, particularly frame by frame, looking for clues and anything that would imply some type of indication that would help Gabby Petito's case.

Some said they witnessed the 23-year-old digging a hole near where Gabby's remins were discovered, while others said he went live on Instagram by accident, revealing what he was doing before realizing he was live and cutting off the broadcast immediately.

The charges were debunked in the Peacock documentary "The Murder of Gabby Petito," which aired on Friday.

The video also discussed the drawbacks of online research and how quickly falsehoods spread like wildfire.

On the plus side, travel blogger Jenn Bethune was the one who found Gabby Petito and Brian Laundrie's white vehicle on the side of Grand Teton National Park, which led to the finding of the influencer's remains.

Gabby Petito died from strangulation, according to postmortem reports.

Brian was mentioned as a person of interest in her disappearance and murder, but he was subsequently discovered dead in October, apparentlyby suicide.

The Case of Brian Laundrie and Gabby Petito: Internet Investigators Are Both A 'Blessing' And A 'Curse'

Gabby Petito's parents spoke about the online investigators who were attempting to assist with the genuine inquiry in the same documentary.

Jim Schmidt said, "I always say it's like a blessing and a curse, but in this instance, it was a blessing for us," while Nicole called them, "incredible."

"The sleuths, the internet sleuths, they do a great job. They do."

Nicole particularly mentioned Bethune's discovery, saying, "I watched that video of the van and had seen the door closing like probably 100 times."

"I believe that was Gabby closing the door on the van. So, I just kept watching it. I don't know."

In the documentary, Brian's parents Chris and Roberta Laundrie weren't interviewed and when asked if they watched the documentary, they reportedly said they didn't.
