Now a smidgen under two weeks away, AMC's hit TV series, Breaking Bad, has its fans in a catch-22; thrilled for its return yet sad for its inevitable halt. To the dismay of its loyalists, the program will be closing out its storybook run after its second part of season 5.

On July 30, The New York Times held a special live stream panel for its farewell installment, featuring all of the principle talent, including Bryan Cranston (Walter White), Aaron Paul (Jessie Pinkman), and RJ MItte (Walt Jr.), amongst others.

During the very special conversation, the cast dished on a wide array of topics ranging from a behind-the-scenes rib that took place to the highly speculated Saul Goodman spinoff.

Paul, who was initially supposed to be on board for just one season and be killed off, explained to the moderator about a prank he experienced at the hands of Cranston, who jokingly told him he was set to kick the bucket in one of the early scripts.

"Holy sh**! Jessie's dying. And so I instantly go to the next episode and he was just lying. Just messing with me, like constantly," he said.

The 32-year-old actor went on to explain that Cranston's character was like a father figure to his character; well sort of.

"Jessie looks up to Walter White as a father figure. A dysfunctional father figure," he said.

Mitte, who dons the role of Walt's handicapped son, spoke about the program's final ending, which he claims won't be pulling any punches.

"The ending's amazing. It really is. This is really an amazing finale to an amazing family, to an amazing show," he said.

Although the show is nearing completion, there's been chatter of a potential Saul Goodman (Bob Kirkman) spinoff series. While BB creator Vince Gilligan couldn't confirm it at this time, he was hopeful.

"There's no assurance that this thing will ever happen, but I would like to see it happen," he said.

AMC's Breaking Bad will return for its final hoorah on Sunday, Aug. 11. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest buzz on the popular program.
