It's a rare thing for a teenage pop album to capture hearts across generations enough to become a global phenomenon, but there was just something about sour, the first album released by 18-year-old Olivia Rodrigo, that managed to do exactly that. No matter who you're talking to or how old they are, most people agree that her songs, like "drivers license" and "Good 4 U," can take you back to that feeling of teenage breakup almost like a spell - and songs like "brutal" have managed to capture exactly what makes Gen Z as edgy as they have become known to be.

Now, fans casual and ardent alike will get the chance to go behind the scenes and see the work that went into producing these emotionally resonant songs, in a new documentary about the process that is slated to air on Disney+.

Disney released the teaser trailer for driving home 2 u (a SOUR film) today, and fans are already excited to see the process of one of their favorite artists - especially one so young and successful.

Most fans already know that Rodrigo wrote sour after a particularly messy breakup with Joshua Bassett, her co-star from Disney's High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. The relationship was never confirmed, but fans were able to piece together the puzzle after the release of sour. While most are aware that she's trying to keep the personal details to a minimum, there is still excitement bubbling at the possibility of some kind of confirmation.

Regardless, most of the excitement simply stems from fans wanting to see Rodrigo succeed: The star has been on a rocket to the moon since her album came out, and this documentary is like watching her sail out of Earth's orbit and into the stars.

driving home 2 u will premiere on Disney+ on Friday, March 25.
