During the same week that Prince Andrew was sued for sexual harassment and Prince Charles' foundation was entangled in a cash-for-honor scandal, Queen Elizabeth II declared that she had caught COVID-19.

Buckingham Palace issued a statement on Sunday stating that she is experiencing minor symptoms as a result of the positive test.

However, rising health concerns and scandals surrounding the royal family will almost certainly overshadow the national celebrations marking her 70th year on the throne in June.

"I imagine this is not a week on which any member of the royal family will look back with much fondness," writes Matthew Dennison, author of "The Queen."

Just a few weeks ago, the royal family was basking in a surge of public and media adoration for the queen, who will turn 96 in two months and is now the world's oldest and longest-reigning monarch.

She will be celebrating seven decades on the throne, a feat never achieved by any of her predecessors in the preceding 1,000 years.

Queen Elizabeth II's Real Concern

Queen Elizabeth II's 2022 is meant to year full with royal celebrations, but she has already experienced a lot of personal hardship and an increasing number of royal difficulties two weeks into the year.

In fact, a royal specialist stated that there is one legitimate concern about her health after testing positive for COVID - but it isn't COVID.

"In October when she was hospitalized overnight, we don't know what for," Angela Levin revealed on TalkRADIO.

"She was instructed to cut straight down, and she did listen, separated herself, and rested." It demonstrates, in my opinion, that she has excellent common sense."

Levin also stated that once the monarchy understands that things would be too much for her in the coming months, Queen Elizabeth II will listen to what her body tells her and how she feels physically, and she will be required to do what is proper.

Because of the numerous events and festivities that will take place, the Platinum Jubilee will be a major source of anxiety.

"I believe that would fatigue anyone, really, and I hope the courtiers look at it very carefully and that she doesn't feel obligated to be at every bit of activity that's going on."

Queen Elizabeth II has been noted in recent years for her robust constitution and infrequent illness.

So, in June, all eyes will be on her.
