Ozark is coming out for its final episodes very soon.

The sensational crime series has announced that the end of its final season will be coming out on April 29th. Fans are excited by the announcement because, after the January 21st release of the first few episodes, watchers were not expecting to get a conclusion to the series for some time. Many assumed that the goal was to release the seven episodes in a new Emmy season, therefore allowing the show to be qualified for nomination twice.

Alongside this exciting announcement came a teaser trailer for these final seven episodes. Features the incredible Julia Garner, who now plays Anna in the hit series Inventing Anna, narrates the trailer. We see glimpses of other stars of the show including Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. The high stakes drama of this trailer alone fills us with confidence that this will be a phenomenal closing to an incredible show.

According to an article on The Hollywood Reporter, the main thing that showrunner Chris Mundy is aiming for is closure.

"I always want closure...I donm't want to feel messed with. I want to feel like, 'OK, that was the end.' So, hopefully, people will feel closure by the end– whether they like it or not, I don't know. In terms of tone, we're going deeper into the family and theirbonds. Is the family the ultimate bond? Is friendship/ Is Marriage? At what point is it almost unhealthy to stay, even if you love somebody? We're going to delve into that with Marty and Wendy. Hopwefully, the back half will still be fun and exciting, but also really emotional for the Byrdes and Ruth."

The second half of the first season of Ozark starts streaming on April 29th, 2022.
