Britney Spears is free, and now that she is, it looks like she's thinking of returning to music after all - doing it her own way for the very first time. The star had been more or less on strike for years, as part of a bid to get out of her restrictive conservatorship.

According to sources at The Sun, Spears' team has been reaching out to some of her former collaborators, including Claude Kelly, who worked with her on 2008's Circus right before the start of her restrictive conservatorship.

"It is very early days and Britney isn't putting any pressure on herself to release an album right away or anything, but her team are putting feelers out about the prospect of new music.

"Several people who she feels comfortable working with have been contacted and asked if they would like to work on music with Britney again and everyone seems pretty keen to be involved.

"She has been through an incredibly tough few years but deep down she does love making music and performing so to have some new music out there could really help her turn over a new leaf."

Spears sent the internet into a tizzy recently after sharing a clip of a pregnant belly on Instagram, as many speculated that she finally got what she wanted and is expecting a baby with fiance Sam Asghari. Alas, it wasn't her stomach - it was just a repost from another user.

New music and a new baby would be a lot for Spears - and though we don't doubt that she could handle it, selfishly, we do kinda hope the music comes first. Of course, all we can do at this point is wait and see.
