Katy Perry faced a hilarious wardrobe malfunction while performing an impromptu dance on "American Idol."

On Monday, Perry set the stage on fire when she began dancing to her hit song, "Teenage Dream." But her performance was immediately halted by a hilarious wardrobe malfunction.

As she sang along with Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan, Perry suddenly bent down, causing her red leather pants to get ripped.

Meanwhile, Bryan can be heard yelling, "They busted!" while the contestants laughed and pointed at the female singer. On the other hand, Richie announced that the concert was over after the malfunction happened.

The 37-year-old "The One That Got Away" hitmaker asked the "American Idol" staff if she could get some tape before walking off stage. The crew members and Bryan immediately helped her by taping the ripped area of her red pants with yellow duct tape.

It was not the first time she split her pants on the show, though.

In 2018, she used tape again after ruining her silver jumpsuit following Maddie Poppe's collaboration with Colbie Caillat.

Katy Perry Reveals Reason Why She Has Not Married Orlando Bloom Yet

Malfunctions aside, Perry recently broke her silence about her relationship with Bloom and revealed why they have not gotten married yet following their 2019 engagement.

During her appearance on the "Kyle and Jackie O" podcast, she revealed that they wanted to get married in Japan in 2020, but it never happened due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"It's a destination location. We're still trying for it to work out," she said. "Every couple of months, it's like, 'New variant! New variant! New variant!'"

It remains unclear why Orlando and Perry wanted a destination wedding in Japan. But a source revealed to PEOPLE that the couple invited 150 guests to celebrate the union with them in the East Asian country.

Aside from her wedding plans, the singer also faced struggles throughout her pregnancy. During her motherhood journey, she spoke about feeling overwhelmed, anxious, happy, and overjoyed at the same time. She reportedly felt depressed, too, since it was a wild time "to bring life into the world."

Despite that, the couple reportedly set many rules to become the best parents for their daughter.

Fans can wait until Perry and Bloom finally tie knots. But for now, they can enjoy seeing the family of three survive together amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
