American Idol judges were surprised and upset on Thursday when front runner Jessica Sanchez was nearly voted off the competition.

On Thursday's results show, Sanchez was placed on the bottom three alongside Joshua Ledet and Elise Testone and finally announced to be the singer with the lowest amount of votes.

After the announcement, her fellow contestants were in disbelief.

Sanchez took the microphone to sing a last song to earn the judges' one and only save vote. While she was singing all of the judges stormed the stage and interrupted her.

"Gimme that mic. This is crazy! You ain't going home! Go sit down!" Jennifer Lopez told her.

Randy Jackson said they were using their save vote for her.

"We are saving Jessica without any doubt. This girl is one of the best singers in America ever."

Sanchez told host Ryan Seacrest that she didn't expect to be the lowest-voted finalist.

"No, not at all. I don't expect anything. I just do what I do. Whatever happens happens. I just want people to know I've been working hard my whole life."
