Yes, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are still dating - despite the silence and no public sightings. In fact, truth be told, Alwyn said they are going very strong.

The couple however, has certainly made considerable effort to keep their romance of nearly six years now, out of the limelight. The actor said this was deliberate, not because he's a private person but because he believes going very public about their romance can only in a disaster. By disaster, it means them breaking up because of the media

"It's not really [because I] want to be guarded and private, it's more a response to something else," Joe said to Elle magazine in an interview. Said piece was published on April 13. "We live in a culture that is so increasingly intrusive. The more you give and frankly, even if you don't give it, something will be taken," he added.

The interview tied into a the release of Joe's new Hulu series entitled "Conversations With Friends," which is based on Sally Rooney's book published in 2017.

Taylor has only sporadically spoken about her romance with Joe. Alwyn can be described as her longest relationship to date. While she used to sing about her exes, it does not mean she has not written about Alwyn yet. Fans would know that Alwyn is the guy who inspired her to write the hits, "End Game, "Gorgeous," and "Delicate."

Her string of famous ex-boyfriends is quite notable, including but not limited to Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, and Tom Hiddleston, among others.

"Lover" too was heavily influenced by Joe, as was the rest of the album. A documentary about the development of the project, "Miss Americana," was released on Netflix in which the GRAMMY-winning musician disclosed that she was "falling in love" at the time of creating the project.

During the filming of the movie, which was released in January 2020, she revealed that she was falling in love with someone so "normal and balanced."

Taylor Swift has honed her skills as a songwriter of love songs to an impressive degree. Despite the fact that she performs in the pop genre, her songs are usually relatable - for people who are in love, those who are out of love, and for those who have been in love. Every single one of her tracks is winning her accolades one after another.

Most recently, on Monday (April 11), the 2022 CMT Music Awards announced that "Love Story (Taylor's Version)" had received the hot comeback song of the year award. Swift's eighth CMT Music Award brings her total to eight.

The trending comeback song of the year category is a brand new addition to this year's awards show, honoring "iconic stars and their successes that have not only endured the test of time but have also lately found new appeal" as a result of viral online trends, according to the CMT website.

This just means Swift's songs have a timeless flavor to them.
