Former America's Next Top Model contestant Jenn An has publicly expanded on her sexual assault allegations against Kanye West, describing an encounter she says took place during the filming of a music video more than a decade ago.

The allegations, which were previously outlined in a civil lawsuit, resurfaced this week after An spoke in an interview with the BBC, offering emotional details about the incident and renewing scrutiny of the legal claims against the rapper and fashion mogul.

According to An, she met West while auditioning for a music video project that also involved British electropop artist La Roux. An alleged that after she and other models arrived at New York City's Chelsea Hotel for filming, she was selected to remain in a room with West while the other women were instructed to leave.

During the interview, An claimed the interaction quickly became uncomfortable and crossed personal boundaries. According to her claim, West reportedly got close to her and began applying makeup on her face in disturbing and inappropriate manner. An also states that West repeatedly inserted his fingers into her mouth.

The ex-model was very emotional while describing the incident and said that she felt confused and was unable to comprehend what was going on at that time.

According to the allegations stated by An in her legal filing, she describes how West forcefully inserted his fingers into her mouth in an effort to conduct sexual acts. An also accuses West of choking her in order to prevent her from breathing.

At present, the lawsuit filed by the victim is still pending in the courts, with allegations yet to be confirmed in a trial.

The rapper's attorneys previously made statements in court filings that the interaction was tied to the creative direction of the music video and was intended as artistic expression, not an act driven by sexual gratification.

A representative for West reiterated that position in response to renewed attention surrounding the allegations. The defense has maintained that there was no intent to commit sexual misconduct or gender-based violence.
