Gwyneth Paltrow is the most wild side character the universe has ever created, and we are HERE for it.

Paltrow sparked outrage just the other day when she posted a new luxury item for sale through her site GOOP. The item was a twelve pack of $120 gem-encrusted, luxury, disposable diapers a product that was coined The Diapér.

The internet was furious, screaming that diapers should not be sold for this much money - especially heightened anger, no doubt, given the political context of the baby formula shortage going on today.

Apparently, however, this was always the plan.

Paltrow pulled a full 180 on the world, stating plainly in an Instagram video:

"If treating diapers like a luxury make you mad, so should taxing them like a luxury."

MIC DROP. In the caption of the post the brilliant actor and business woman continued on to write:

"Despite the absolute necessity of diapers, in 33 states, they aren't treated as an essential item. They're taxed as a luxury good. (We priced our fictional Diapérs at $120, because that is what the diaper tax could cost families annually.)

"Right now, many families in need are also struggling as a result of the nationwide formula shortage. Donate to @baby2baby to help provide diapers, formula, and other essentials to families in need. Link in bio. #changethediapertax"

The star played the world and is fighting to make a change. GO GWYNETH PALTROW!
