Drake released a surprise album last night titled Honestly, Nevermind, and it is already number one on the charts.

Apparently not! Despite the capital letters, we are not angry about it. Last night, musical sensation Drake dropped a surprise album titled Honestly, Nevermind. This new out-of-the-blue album features fourteen original songs. The album takes a step outside of the performer's original sound, focusing more heavily on a Dance/Electronic genre. As one Twitter user laughingly pointed out, Kanye West had previously said he wanted to release a dance album, but Drake has officially beaten him to it. In just the few short hours since the album went live, it is already charting in the number one position on Apple Music.

Drake not only released a new album last night but released a music video to the song, "Falling Back." In the video, we see Drake marry 23 different women. As one Twitter user pointed out, the man cast as the best man in this music video is Tristan Thompson, which is a bit eye catching considering his recent paternity scandal with Khloe Kardashian. 

Overall, fans are over the moon with the new album. People have come out in droves on Twitter to celebrate the new release, while also binge listening in order to properly adjust to Drake's significant shift in his sound. With this surprise release just a few short days before the official start of the season, could the Song of the Summer contender be contained on this album? Could that be part of Drake's reason for this timely release? We will just have to listen and find out!
