Kate Berlant's solo-show is heading to the Off-Broadway stage.

Kate Berlant is a well loved actor, writer, and comedian. She has most recently appeared in the new series adapatation of A League of Their Own, and she has worked as a writer on shows such as The Characters. Now, she is heading for the Off-Broadway stage. The multi-faceted star is taking her talents to the Connelley Theater for a limited run in which she will perform her one-woman show Kate.

The show chronicles the story of Berlant's own life. It will show the audience through theatrical storytelling and comedy the events in the star's life that brought her to where she is today. The actress shared her excitement to return to the stage in a statement. She powerfully expressed:

"All my previous work has been a pale shadow, a humiliation, an impotent suggestion always gesturing toward, yet never quite arriving... until now. I can't wait to welcome you into my home, which is the theatre. Although I haven't been home in a long time, it feels good to be back, and I'm so grateful they kept the lights on for me. Although it is forbidden to take your shoes off in my home, I hope you will still allow yourself to shed a layer-to become vulnerable and receptive to the possibility of transformation."
