Jennifer Lopez intentionally rushed her marriage to Ben Affleck, a source said.

Things indeed went from zero to a hundred between Lopez and Affleck as they got married months after rekindling their romance from decades ago.

For what it's worth, they sparked dating rumors again in April 2021, a month after the actress called off her engagement with Alex Rodriguez. The following month, several sources confirmed that they were indeed spending time together again.

After getting engaged in April, they got married in a simple ceremony - and the turn of events led to speculations that the 52-year-old actress "rushed" it.

Jennifer Lopez Now Has Fears

Before tying the knot, a source told Page Six that Lopez was desperate to make it official with Affleck due to her fears that he might have cold feet again.

"[Lopez] has been ready to get married since the night that Ben proposed. She wanted to lock this down and remove any chance for cold feet ASAP!" the source said.

But despite rushing it, an insider divulged that the ceremony was minimally planned since both of them does not want their wedding to be a spectacle.

However, it was also disclosed that they plan to have a bigger party soon.

The insider added, "Ever since they started dating again, Jennifer has truly believed that this is it. She is looking forward to growing old with Ben. She is very happy and content with Ben. She couldn't ask for anything else. She thinks it's all perfect."

Their choice to rush their marriage worried their friends, though, as they believed it would ruin their relationship wholly.

A source told US Weekly before the wedding that the actress's pals did not approve of the speedy nuptials. Although Lopez always says she is not rushing to tie the knot, her friends thought she would be down once the "Deep Water" star pushed it this summer.

A separate source also informed Closer that Affleck had been feeling hesitant to get married, though he wanted to wait until next year.

But any issues seemingly do not scare Lopez anymore as she has been wanting to be with Affleck even after their first engagement.

Lopez and Affleck first met on the set of the 2002 movie "Gigli." They began dating that year and lasted until 2004.

Unfortunately, they tried to make things worth it that they even scheduled their marriage in September 2003. The couple postponed the ceremony one day before the scheduled date. Following their official break up in January 2004, Lopez quickly married Marc Anthony, while Affleck tied knots with Jennifer Garner in 2005.
