Idris Elba talks about how "American Gangster" film helps him in getting to "Jay-z's album."

In the previous "Tonight Talk" where he was featured, the host Jimmy Fallon congratulated him with the "McCartney III Imagined" and now he is part of "Jay-Z's album" which is the "American Gangster."

When asked how he did that, the singer says that even the two artists do not know that he is part of the album.

"I literally hustled my way on to those albums," he said.

He explained that he just ended up on Jay-Z's album because of the fact that he starred in the "American Gangster" film. As he continued, he said that he just heard at the time that Jay has a plan to do an album associated with the film.

As soon as he heard the news, he told himself that he needs to get onto the album, "No idea why Jay would be like, 'Yeah, sure, do it.'"

He did everything in his power and talent to get in, as the talk continued, he elaborated how the process went. Elba wrote a "long poem" but didn't sound good as rap so he said, "Maybe  I should speak this' because Jay might be a little more accommodating to my speaking voice."

So the time he sent it to Jay he got a response saying that he doesn't just love what he sent but he f*ucking love it," Jay expressed his awe of the work of Elba.

The actor also shared that he is starring in "Beast" movie that will be out on August 19 which he will portray as Dr. Nate Daniels who is a father of two teenage girls and a widow. In the film, the journey of the family will be bloody as they face a massive lion hellbent which kills every person it meets.

Also, Elba will lead in a movie directed by "Bullet Train" director David Leitch. The movie "Bang!" story revolves in following most famous spy which tasked is assassinating the author of a series of novels who created a terrorist cult tha will use a book in starting an apocalypse.

Meanwhile, Idris Elba attended the world premiere of "Beast" on Monday in New York City, he was joined by his wife, Sabrina Dhowre.
