Shania Twain admits about thinking that her career might be over due to an incident that happened in 2003 which changed her life and music career.

As a singer, Twain sees music as life so when an unfortunate event entered the picture, she was greatly affected by that in which she tackled in a Netflix  documentary entitled "Shania Twain: Not Just A Girl."

Back in 2003, Twain was on her way home when suddenly she was bitten by a tick which was infected with "Lyme's Disease" where she got her illness and "symptoms were quite scary."

"Lyme disease is caused by the bacterium Borrelia burgdorferi and rarely, Borrelia mayonii."

This disease can be transmitted through a bite of the infected "tick."

She also opened up her coping journey which is not easy for her. "You're Still the One" singer said she thought she would never make an album again.

Twain shared in an interview that "It was devastating. I really grieved about that. It did bring me down and I struggled with it every day."

The thought of having disease got into her, she felt extremely sad and admitted that it was depressing at the time but the star was lucky because "writing" saved her.

"My writing is my first love, really, over everything. I was only going to be a writer and not [a] performer."

But  Twain proved that no incident will stop her from performing and doing what she loves. Recently, Twain shines again just like her song, "She's Not Just a Pretty Face" because she rocks and owns the stage as she performed in Boots & Hearts Music Festival.

The festival was completed by the presence of different stars including Walker Hayes, Florida Georgia Line, and Sam Hunt.

Twain also took to Instagram to share photos about the event in which it can be seen that she is really enjoying the night.

Along with the photo is a caption that reads: , "Well... where do I even start!? @bootsandhearts was wild... for many reasons!! It felt soooo good to be back in my homeland... even with the severe thunderstorms trying to ruin our fun But no amount of rain was going to stop our kick-ass party!!"

With all the happiness that she's feeling right now, it is safe to say that perhaps, her husband, Robert "Mutt" Lange  also contributes to how the "I Ain't No Quitter" singer  copes with an incident in her life.

The couple began dating in 2009 and got married in 2011 in a small ceremony in Rincon, Puerto Rico and up until now, their bond is strong and healthy.
