Prince Harry, Meghan Markle NOT Neglected From The Start As King Charles III Handed Them THIS Before Megxit
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have frequently mentioned how they won't receive any financial assistance from the British royal family after they vacate their positions in 2020.
However, it has now been established that they haven't been ignored. The First gave The Duke and Duchess of Sussex a sizable sum during their final year as working royals.
According to The Daily Mail, King Charles III, then Prince Charles, gave the parents of Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana a compensation of $5.1 million. Prince Harry and Prince William received the sum to support their official responsibilities and way of life in palaces paid for by tax dollars.
The amount of money given to King Charles III's sons is unclear, though.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021 after completely leaving their royal positions, during which the former stated he was compelled to negotiate contracts with Spotify and Netflix since his father had cut him off financially following Megxit.
The Duke of Sussex was given a "significant money" by the then-Prince Charles to aid facilitate his relocation to the United States, according to a Clarence House official.
On the final day of March in 2020, the couple boarded an airplane and headed for the US.
Their spokesperson said, "Prince Charles had allocated a substantial sum to support them with this transition and the funding ceased in the summer of last year."
Per ITV, they said, "As we'll all remember in January 2020 when the Duke and Duchess [of Sussex] announced that they were going to move away from the working royal family, the duke said that they would work towards becoming financially independent."
The spokeswoman, however, declined to reveal how much Prince Harry got.

Tensions with the royal family are said to have risen as a result of their allegations in the Oprah interview.
The couple, though, appeared to get along well with The Firm during their time in the UK following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
They saw several instances of cooperation between Prince Harry, Meghan, and the rest of the royal family in the days that followed the death of the previous monarch. Together again, the pair saw the floral tributesleft by well-wishers outside Windsor Castle with Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In his inaugural speech as the new king, King Charles III also spoke well of them and their new life abroad.
Prince William and Prince Harry are spending time together, but despite several attempts, their relationship is still far from being repaired.
