Kanye West has been the center of attention over the past few weeks due to his eyebrow-raising comments and views about other people. Recently, it has been reported that he's teaming up with Johnny Depp's lawyer to help him amid his controversy.

According to sources close to the musician who spoke to TMZ, as reported by The New York Post, the rapper teams up with Camille Vasquez and other lawyers to oversee his contracts, business deals, and more.

The reason why he's hiring a legal team is that he's reportedly facing a financial fallout after many brands have dropped him due to his controversial remarks online and in recent interviews.

It all began when he expressed online that he was "going death con 3 On Jewish People."

Camille Vasquez became popular for representing Johnny Depp in his highly-publicized case against Amber Heard earlier this year.

Many fans have commended her for the way she represented the actor in court. At one point, the lawyer, who works for the firm Brown Rudnick and specializes in litigation and arbitration, was linked to the actor as many alleged they were dating.

As of this writing, neither West nor Vasquez has confirmed whether they're working together or not.

Balenciaga Cut Ties With Kanye West Amid Rapper's Issues

The latest news comes a few hours after Balenciaga's parent company, Kering, confirmed to Women's Wear Daily that they will no longer work with West in the future.

"Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist," the company said in a statement after a query from the outlet.

The French fashion house did not give further information about their latest move.

The "Donda" rapper has been a big collaborator of the brand over the past few years, meaning the recent move was a big deal for both parties.

West attended Balenciaga's summer 2023 show during Paris Fashion Week, but the image has been removed from their website amid cutting ties with him.

According to The New York Times, the rapper and the brand's creative director, Demna Gvasalia, had a very close relationship as they exchange messages "several times a day."

However, he and Cédric Charbit reportedly attended the fashion show where the rapper wore a shirt that says "White Lives Matter."
