Paris Hilton is fighting for rights of children who have been misused by the system in the name of treatment.

Paris Hilton has been coming forward about the abuse she was forced to withstand during her time in a "troubled teen" facility. She is now using her public platform to try to enact change to ensue that other teens and children are not forced to suffer the same traumas. She is at the nation's capitol fighting for legal reform that will cause meaningful change. In an interview on Fox and Friends earlier today, Hilton shared shared:

"I'm doing everything I can in my power to fight for these children because these are children who come from families that can't help and support them and children from the juvenile justice system, foster care system. And they have no voice. So, I'm really just turning my pain into a purpose and using my platform to help make a difference and save children's lives because hundreds of children have died in the name of treatment in these places."

In using her voice, Hilton has shared the specific and disturbing maltreatment that she was forced to suffer. Hilton has become very vocal about the time that she suffered at Canyon School. She remembered:

"I was choked, slapped across the face, spied on while showering, and deprived of sleep. I was called vulgar names and forced to take medication without a diagnosis. At one Utah facility, I was locked in solitary confinement in a room where the walls were covered in scratch marks and blood stains."

We support Hilton in her fight for justice, and we hope that no children are ever forced to suffer this kind of mistreatment and torture age.
