BLACKPINK’s Jennie To Cover A Christmas Song: Here's How BLINKS Can Help Her Out

BLINKS - BLACKPINK's fans - have another song to watch out for this year after Jennie announced via Weverse that she was planning to cover a Christmas song.

On Wednesday, the "You & Me" artist posted on BLACKPINK's community on Weverse to ask her fans how they were taking care of themselves since the weather had suddenly gotten cold. After that, she dropped her good news, saying, "To be honest, I was thinking of covering a song for Christmas..."

Thinking that the Christmas song cover would be more meaningful if she chose it with her fans, she invited them to comment their Christmas or winter song suggestions.

BLINKs suggested songs such as "Santa Tell Me," "Last Christmas," "Christmas Tree Farm," "I'll Be Home for Christmas," "Winter Wonderland," "Let It Snow" and "Snow In California," among many others.

MTV Music UK also joined in sending suggestions, tweeting, "Okay, we need 'All I Want For Christmas (Jennie's Version)' NOW! What do you want to hear her sing?" 

The tweet also solicited more Christmas song suggestions for Jennie, including "Snowman," "Santa Baby," "All I Want for Christmas" and "My Only Wish (This Year)," among others.

Meanwhile, one fan tweeted, "Anything from Jennie."

In other news, Jennie officially released her special single "You & Me" on Oct. 6. It followed the release of her solo debut single "Solo," which was released digitally on Nov. 12, 2018, with an accompanying music video.

During an interview with Harper's Bazaar Korea for its October issue, the BLACKPINK member briefly hinted at her next solo album.

During the interview, Jennie was asked if she could choose any concept or song she would like to challenge herself through a new album. "I'm currently making something that's most Jennie-like and something only Jennie has. Please look forward to it," she responded at the time.

She also used the French phrase "Le Départ" to best describe the Jennie now. This phrase may mean a start or beginning or the act of leaving one place to head to another.
