Emma Roberts might have lied to Jimmy Fallon on his late night show Thursday after being rejected from Dominique Ansel's famous bakery in New York.

According to Mail Online, Roberts attempted to skip the very long line outside the Spring St. bakery, but was 'embarrassingly' sent to the back of the line when one the workers found out. Onlookers noted that she then left after waiting several minutes with her publicist.

The story the 22-year-old actress told Jimmy Fallon was different.

"I haven't had one because today I went to the bakery to get a cronut and I was like, 'Oh my god, there's no line,' and I walk in and they were like, 'The line is actually down the block,' so I walked out," Roberts explained. "I went to the end of the line and waited and waited and then they were like, 'Sorry we're out of cronuts'...it's serious business over there."

Roberts said that she was looking online at the cronut beforehand and once she didn't get one, she was "really upset."

Whether Roberts was telling the truth or not about how the eventful trip occurred, Fallon must have found out about her being turned down. The host then surprised her with a cronut from his friend, the owner of the bakery.

"It's the best thing ever!" Roberts said after trying the half croissant, half doughnut for the first time."It's really the best thing ever...my mom is going to be watching this in shock that I got a cronut."

Roberts also made an appearance on Live! With Kelly and Michael earlier on in the day. She is currently in New York promoting We're the Millers where she stars alongside Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis.
