Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston told press he's having a beautiful love affair -- with acting. Joking with press, the actor admitted even though the hit AMC series is ending, he's not quitting acting.

"You got to love it to do it," he told CBS Sunday Morning's Lee Cowan in an interview set to air on Sunday, Aug. 11. "And I love it. It's my mistress. I will have an affair with acting for as long as I can."

The 57-year-old actor, who plays troubled chemistry teacher-turned-meth dealer Walter White on the series, said he's still in disbelief about his fame.

"I used to load trucks downtown Los Angeles, graveyard shift," he said. "And you'd have guys yelling at you, using your last name: 'Cranston! Let's go! Let's go! High and tight! Come on! Load those trucks.' You know, just barking at you constantly."

"And the only thing that got me through was just daydreaming, at some point, somewhere along my path, I'm going to be able to say, I make a living as an actor," he continued. "To this day, when I drive onto a studio lot, I just, I just smile, because look at this!" he says. "Look at what I get to do!"

The AMC drama Breaking Bad is about a chemistry teacher (Cranston) who starts cooking meth with a former student (Aaron Paul) after he's diagnosed with cancer.

In a recent interview, creator Vince Gilligan revealed there will be some plot twists this season.

"He's a villain now," Gilligan said of Cranston's Walter White character. "And he's hopefully a very interesting villain, one that continues to engage us and interest us, but for my money, I'd cross the street to avoid this guy. I mean, he'd be pleasant enough in conversation if you ran into him at the hardware store or whatever, but if you cross this guy, he's going to wreck your life. This is not a guy you'd want in your family."

The final season of Breaking Bad returns Sunday, Aug. 11 to AMC, 9p.m. ET/PT.
