Benny Blanco is in hot water after posting a review of the Filipino fast-food chain Jollibee on TikTok, receiving flak even from his girlfriend's Filipino fans.

In the three-minute video review Blanco uploaded, he said, "It's time to try some f***ing Jollibee, something I've never f***ing had in my life," before noting that his stepmom was from the Philippines, so he grew up eating a "s**tload" of Filipino food.

Showing the adobo rice to his viewers, he remarked, "Look at this dry a** adobo rice. Sorry, it's dry a** adobo rice. It tastes like butt."

He then went on to taste Jollibee's fried chicken and gravy and liked it. However, he criticized the rest of the Filipino fast-food chain's other dishes, such as the fries, peach mango pie and spaghetti, making negative remarks like "ew" and "f***ed up."

At one point, he even spat a spoonful of spaghetti.

Ending his review, he said, "Don't go to Jollibee. This s**t sucks."

Filipino netizens found the review of Selena Gomez's boyfriend "disrespectful," so they left his TikTok video with mostly negative reactions.

"It's okay if Jollibee isn't your thing, but there's no need for disrespectful comments. Everyone has different tastes and preferences," one netizen commented.

"I'm a fan, but you don't disrespect Jollibee like that," wrote another.

"That's crazy, I'm actually speechless. The disrespect is insane," opined a third user.

"Bro, even [if] you don't like the food, at least respect it," a different user commented.

Others also pointed out how Jollibee is a part of Filipino celebrations and every Filipino's childhood.

"Hello, Benny. [Do] you know why Filipinos reacted this way? [It's] because Jollibee is part of our childhood -- when we get higher grades in school, our birthdays and our graduation," stated another netizen.

"Jollibee is part of every Filipino's childhood and now getting international recognition across the globe. Some may not like it but don't disrespect our very own Jollibee. Benny Blanco, you think you're awesome? Well, even your own kind is kicking you out! Deserved!" one fan tweeted on X, with a video of the music producer getting kicked out by security at the Emmys.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez's fans questioned her choice of boyfriend.

"OK, I don't get it, Selena," one fan quipped.

A different person wrote, "Poor Selena Gomez."

"Selena, I got questions," commented another fan.

"Selena, run!" stated a different netizen.

However, some netizens came to Blanco's defense and pointed out that Jollibee in the Philippines and the U.S. taste different.

"Guys, Jollibee here in the U.S. tastes different. I respect his opinion, and you guys need to calm down," one user commented.

Another person commented, "U.S. Jollibee just does not taste the same. I was so disappointed. I even went all the way to NYC."
