According to a source present at the party who spoke with Page Six, the 'Girl's Trip' actress said: "It didn't feel like [she was joking]. She said it numerous times."

Another individual close to Haddish, 44, spoke to the news outlet, suggesting that her remarks were likely in jest, but emphasized her dedication to health. "She is serious about her sobriety," the source remarked. "She's kept it, and is very into her health right now. She's going through her changes and is doing amazing."

Following her DUI arrest in November, Haddish pledged to seek help, vowing that such an incident "would never happen again" during an interview with 'Entertainment Tonight.'

Haddish was discovered asleep inside her vehicle, and she clarified to ET that her Tesla had autonomously parked itself while she dozed off, albeit obstructing a portion of the street. "I'm going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries," she remarked. Despite the incident, Haddish maintains a positive outlook and commended the Beverly Hills police department for their handling of the situation.

Haddish's second DUI arrest was in January 2022, when she was apprehended in Atlanta after authorities responded to a report of an individual sleeping in a vehicle. Charges of DUI and improper stopping on a roadway were brought against her, and she was released upon posting a $1,666 bond.

Subsequently, during an appearance on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' later that month, she humorously addressed the incident.
