The season 3 premiere of The Real Housewives of Miami on Monday revealed that Adriana De Moura married her fiance, Frederic Marq, five years ago as opposed to tying the knot for the first time on May 17.

The art dealer and reality star held a wedding ceremony with Marq, an interior designer, in Coral Gables, Fla., in front of 50 of their closest friends and family. However, Monday's episode showed that the couple had a legal marriage license dated from 2008, but had never gone through with a religious ceremony.

De Moura's marital status was part of the problem for her former best friend Lea Black. Their feud also played out in the season premiere. Black said not long ago she purchased about 10 paintings at full cost from de Moura in order to help her out financially. De Moura said that Black is essentially lying about what she did and did not know.

"I was shocked beyond belief. I felt that she had betrayed me," Black said. "I thought I was helping a single mother get back on her feet and all the while, she was legally married to Frederic."

De Moura claimed Black knew about the marriage because the couple had been planning a big ceremony to take place in 2008, in which Black was supposed to be the maid-of-honor. The ceremony never took place and the wedding was called off just two weeks before it was scheduled to happen.

"After years of friendship, Adriana joined alliances with people that she knows hate me and it's heartbreaking," Black told the camera.

The Real Housewives of Miami airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. Watch the clip below from Monday's episode to see Black and her co-star Joanna Krupa talk about De Moura's secret marriage.
