'Teen Wolf' Season 3 Spoilers: Mid-Season Finale Face Off With Darach, Who Will Be the New Alpha VIDEO
After leaving fans hanging following a ritualistic triple suicide, Teen Wolf's mid-season finale promises to keep viewers glued to the screen in anticipation.
All season long, series creator Jeff Davis has kept fans guessing. From the identity of the Darach (Haley Webb) to the history of the Alpha Pack to the ever-changing supernatural identities of the teens of Beacon Hills, the cliffhanger master has created quite a buildup heading into next Monday's "Lunar Eclipse."
Teen Wolf actress Holland Roden (Lydia) claims that the twelfth episode of season 3 will be a "supernatural sadistic circus" and include a "progressive" cliffhanger, according to TV Line.
Following this week's "Alpha Pack," the young werewolves are preparing to lose their powers during the upcoming eclipse. While this will put Derek (Tyler Hoechline) and Scott's (Tyler Posey) cohorts on the same level as the Alpha Pack, it also makes that increasingly vulnerable at the hands of the Darach. Derek in particular may be even weaker following the loss of his Alpha powers in an attempt to save Cora (Adelaide Kane).
While the Darach still holds Mellissa McCall (Melissa Ponzio), Sheriff Stilinski (Linden Ashby) and Mr. Argent (JR Bourne) captive, a new promo for the upcoming episode shows that Deucalion (Gideon Emery) will finally have a face off with the dark Druid and fans will find out why exactly the Darach needed to sacrifice so many in order to face him.
Now that the writers have revealed both Scott's father and the details of what happened on the night of Stiles' (Dylan O'Brien) mother's death, perhaps they will also provide answers regarding Mr. Harris's (Adam Fristoe) involvement with the Darach, the reasons behind the Darach's decision to try to kill Lydia, and what exactly a banshee can do.
Whether or not the overall lingering question - who will become the reigning alpha in Beacon Hills - will be answered is unknown.
