More actors will join the cast of Bates Motel for the show's second season, according to new reports.

Kathleen Robertson (Beverly Hills 90210) will star in the show for the first time next season, according to a report by TVLine on Tuesday. Robertson will play Jodi, an attractive, savvy businesswoman and artist. She is described as someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to get what she wants.

In other recent casting news, up and coming actress Paloma Kwiatkowski will play Codi Brennan, a new love interest for Norman (Freddie Highmore), according to Deadline. Codi is described as a small-town party girl who shows Norman how to have a good time.

Robertson and Kwiatkowski join a new cast of characters who will be introduced in season 2. One of the characters that may have a connection with Jodi is Christine (Rebecca Creskoff), a prestigious woman who becomes Norma's (Vera Farmiga) first female friend. Due to Christine's influence, Norma will be swept into the upper-class society at White Pine Bay when season 2 picks up.

Meanwhile, Norma will have to deal with her estranged brother Caleb (Kenny Johnson), entering her life again. Norma described her secret past with Caleb in the season 1 finale, where she recounted his attempt to have sex with her.

Norma will also find a love interest in the form of George (Michael Vartan), a recent divorcee who makes a special connection with her.

As for how these storylines will affect Norma, it seems they will trend towards the negative, considering Kerry Ehrin's recent description of season 2 as "love, hope tragedy."

Season 2 of Bates Motel is scheduled to premiere in early 2014.
