'America's Got Talent' 2013 August 14 Results Recap: Which Four Acts Advanced to the Semifinals? [VIDEOS]
America's Got Talent aired its fourth live results show of the season on Wednesday night, featuring four acts that advanced to the semifinals and eight acts that were eliminated.
Rock band The Robotix, dance troupe SensEtion, percussionists Tummy Talk, and juggler David Ferman heard their results first. Host Nick Cannon announced that none of the acts would advance to the semifinals, and they were all eliminated from the competition.
3Penny Chorus & Orchestra and singer Cami Bradley were next to hear their results. Cannon announced that Bradley would be advancing to the semifinals based on America's vote. Judge Howard Stern said she deserved to advance. 3Penny Chorus & Orchestra, however, was eliminated from the competition.
Ice skating group Aerial Ice, stunt performers Champions Forever and country singer Jimmy Rose were called forward next. Cannon revealed that Rose was advancing to the semifinal round, and Judge Howie Mandel said that he wasn't surprised by the results, considering Rose's story--a country singer and war veteran who loves America--but added that it might not take him all the way to the end of the competition. Aerial Ice and Champions Forever were eliminated.
Finally, singer Chloe Channell, comedian Taylor Williamson and acrobatic act Timber Brown were called forward to hear their results. Cannon revealed that Brown would advanced to the semifinals, and Judge Heidi Klum said she was very pleased with the result and congratulated him.
In no particular order, Cannon said that Channell and Williamson came in fourth or fifth place in America's voting. This meant the judges had to choose one of them to send to the semifinals.
Klum and Mel B voted for Channell, while Mandel and Stern voted for Williamson, forcing a tie. Consequently, America's vote would have to decide the winner. Cannon announced that Williamson came in fourth place, and he would advance to the semifinal round. Channell was eliminated from the competition.
In next Tuesday's episode, 12 new acts will compete: rap duo 2Unique, shadow dancers Catapult Entertainment, ballroom dancers D'Angelo & Amanda, singer Dave Fenley, acrobats Duo Resonance, comedian John Wing, contortionist Melody Caballerro, ballroom dancers Ruby & Jonas, balancing act Sam Johnson, singer Selena Mykenzie Gordon, Rube Goldberg creator Sprice and The Virginia State University Gospel Choir.
