While it was recently reported that actress Laura Prepon would be making her departure from the hit Internet series, Orange Is The New Black, Netflix is now denying the original news story.

According to Buzzfeed, the actress will be coming back to tie up her storyline as Alex next season, but would have the option of returning in future installments.

Netflix, the company behind the program, informed the Huffington Post that the most recent speculation surrounding Prepon's exit is just "not accurate. Our season is still developing and nothing is confirmed."

While it's sensible for a program revolving around dailprison life to see inmates released and other criminals surface, the character of Alex's rocky relationship with Piper (Taylor Schilling) is one of the central plots of the show.

Although Prepon's publicist didn't immediately get back to HuffPost TV, "one of [Prepon's] agents responded to an email by saying he could not discuss the show," stated Buzzfeed.
