The top three performers Wednesday night on American Idol were Joshua Ledet, Jessica Sanchez and Skylar Lane, according to most reviews.

The remaining 6 contestants Philip Philips, Elise Testone, Hollie Cavanagh, Ledet, Sanchez and Lane performed a Queen song followed by a song of their own choice.

Ledet amazed with his performance of Queen's "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."

"The bass-slapping Sam Cooke run through "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" was crazy good and the vintage mic was a real nice touch," noted MTV critic Gil Kaufman.

Ledet earned a second standing ovation from the judges by singing "Ready for Love" by India Arie.

“I don’t even know what to say anymore,” said Jackson. “Another unbelievable performance.

Jessica Sanchez sang Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” wowing the judges but her best performance was her second one "Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross.

Sanchez dedicated the song to her father who is in the military and would be soon going to Singapore.

"That may have been the best I've ever heard that song sung," said judge Jennifer Lopez.

"You know what's wrong with it,” asked Randy Jackson. “Absolutely nothing."

Skylar Laine rocked Queen's "The Show Must Go On," to earn praise from the judges, although many critics liked Philip Philips' performance of "Fat Bottomed Girls" more.

Judge Jennifer Lopez called Laine's performance "powerful," and Randy Jackson said it was one of her "best performances to date."

Her second song "Tattoos On This Town" also earned praises from the judges.
