Girls creator and star Lena Dunham shared a racy new photo of herself, as part of the We Think Alone project.

Sharing an e-mail (that was sent to an unnamed friend), Dunham sent along a photo of herself in a barely-there costume.

"I used my macbook to take a photo of me in my costume, which is pretty offensive and I thought you might appreciate it, being my lover and all," she wrote.

"It's like what 50-year-olds do to spice up their sex lives," she said in the June 9, 2007 email.

The e-mail is part of the We Think Alone project, in which celebrities share candid e-mails sent. Each week, a new email and subject are used, revealing new and interesting info about the stars' lives.

Up next, Dunham and her mother Laurie Simmons will be honored at the 11th annual Women in the Arts Luncheon held at the Brooklyn Museum. This is, as the Brooklyn Museum pointed out in a press release, the first time the fundraiser has honored a mother-daughter pair.

All proceeds from the luncheon, which will be held on Nov. 14, will benefit the Brooklyn Museum and its Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art. The two join a rather esteemed group of women who were previously honored, including Yoko Ono, Cindy Sherman and Kara Walker.

HBO has yet to announce an official premiere date for the third season of Girls, new episodes will begin sometime in 2014, the video teaser confirmed. In the 30-second YouTube clip, viewers see still photos of Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, Zosia Mamet, Adam Driver, Alex Karpovsky and even Andrew Rannells, who appears to be returning to Girls after his NBC series The New Normal was canceled after one season.
