In the latest news on the hit British-American drama, Downton Abbey, actress Christina Carty has been attached to don the role of legendary author Virginia Woolf for a meeting with the Crawley family.

Radio Times reported that while there aren't too many details out yet on how the To The Lighthouse writer will be utlized in the fourth season of the popular program, it speculates that it should more than likely involve Lady Edith, who's delving into a career in journalism.

Prior to making a name for herself as a novelist, the real-life Woolf began her aspirations as a journalist for the Time Literary Supplement. She also started up Hogarth Press with her hubby Leonard Woolf in 1917.

The author isn't the only real-life character that the show will be loosely based on in the upcoming installment, as Dame Nellie Melba, an Aussie opera singer, is set for a portrayal as well. The respective part will be played by Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, an actual opera singer that's from New Zealand.

Downton Abbey will be premiering its fourth season in the United States on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014. For more of the latest info on the popular British-American drama, keep checking back with Enstars.
